Lời mở đầu

The Mid-Autumn Festival has long been one of the most significant holidays in Vietnamese culture, especially for children. Also known as the “Full Moon Festival” or “Lantern Festival,” it brings a lively and colorful atmosphere filled with joy and excitement. This is a time when children get to play under the bright full moon, participate in activities such as lantern parades, lion dances, and, most importantly, make traditional mooncakes.

This year at True North Kindergarten, the children had a wonderful experience making mooncakes together under the detailed guidance of their teachers. More than just a fun activity, the process of kneading the dough, shaping, and baking the cakes provided the kids with a deeper understanding of traditional culture and many valuable lessons. Let’s dive into each heartwarming moment of the children’s Mid-Autumn mooncake-making day!
